On Tuesday, November 21st, the eagerly awaited Innovation Hive event, Culture Talks, took center stage at the Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa. Focused on art, culture, and innovation, Culture Talks aimed to recognize the timeless value of tradition and technological progress through cultural understanding at both local and European levels.
During this vibrant event, critical topics such as digitalization in culture, preservation of intangible cultural heritage, and inclusion through art were explored. The renowned Mrs. Fani Kalokairinou (Director of the Folklore Historical Museum of Larissa) and Chrysi Triantafyllou shed light on the intangible cultural heritage, providing tangible examples and highlighting the threats it faces.
Following these engaging discussions, Ms. Vasiliki Kartsakli (archaeologist and guide) and Mrs. Maria Botikopoulou delved into the realm of digitalization in culture, emphasizing the role of technology in preserving and disseminating our cultural wealth.
The thematic conclusion of the event focused on inclusion in art as a platform for multicultural expression, where diversity is celebrated. Led by Mr. Neoklis Mantas (Ph.D. at the University of Thessaly, Cultural Strategist, Head of Cultural Development 2023—ELEUSIS Cultural Capital of Europe) and Anna-Maria Karantali, the discussions underscored the importance of creating a socially equitable and culturally rich environment for everyone.
These groundbreaking approaches were expressed for the first time through Culture Lab, an innovative online platform where we shape and promote these ideas, aiming to enhance multi-level cultural engagement.
